Plante Moran Trust is pleased to provide a full complement of personal trust services when engaged as a professional Trustee or Co-Trustee without investment management authority. It is possible to name an advisor in the agreement or for the interested parties to influence the selection of the investment manager; the Trustee’s role is described as follows:
Investment manager selection responsibilities
- The Trustee will exercise reasonable care in the selection of an outside investment manager and establish the scope and terms of the delegation;
- The Trustee will periodically review the actions of each manager and monitor the performance of the portfolio to ensure compliance with terms of the delegation;
- The fees must be reviewed and deemed appropriate and reasonable.
